RANSOM eco-friendly surf wax was launched in SoCal in early 2000. The brand image is a natural, more core, grass roots style with a focus on local groms, school surf teams & contests. This approach led to organic market growth, driven by passion for a new wax that had great application and performance, with a young vibe.

Ransom has continued to grow at a healthy pace with a huge spike in overseas sales after its introduction into target international markets through our distribution channels. Our success in Japan, UK, France, New Zealand & Australia markets had growth in 2010 at almost triple the previous year. We now have new distributors in Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Malaysia & Portugal (and list is growing).

Ransom’s growth in International markets has led to exclusive distribution for the US East coast as well as other US areas beginning in 2011. The Ransom product line is one of the few to focus on the rising youth market by supporting the grom with smaller size leashes, traction pads & board bags. Ransom is eco-friendly, works insane and some people like it more than the other top brands out there.
